I love him, and I love this poster, and I love Alison, the song that the lyric “my aim is true” comes from, but I don’t know why this line is like THE Elvis Costello line, the one that has come to stand for all that he has accomplished and created.  

I mean the only song I am aware of that has generated as much supposition and  mystery is You’re So Vain, and that song is only mysterious because nobody knows WHO Carly is talking about.  Nobody has any idea WHAT Elvis is talking about in Alison.  Especially since he he claims it is not about murder, which is more or less the only reasonable interpretation I can think of.
